Apply for the FAFSA

Apply for the FAFSA.

Completing and submitting a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the single most important thing you can do to get help paying for college. Based on your FAFSA application, you could qualify for grants, work-study, and student loans.

LEARN MORE ABOUT THE FAFSA

You’ll need your tax information (both yours and your parents) to complete the FAFSA. The FAFSA can be completed after October 1, 2016 of your senior year in high school. Check your college’s priority financial aid deadline to see when to submit your FAFSA.

Which FAFSA do I need to file?

If you plan on attending college starting fall 2017, you will need to file the 2017-2018 FAFSA (available October 1, 2016).

If you plan on attending college before fall 2017, you will need to file the 2016-2017 FAFSA.

You will need an FSA ID to sign your FAFSA:
