Start Students Early

The Earlier, The Better.

Getting students thinking about college early on is important to their success. It’s never too early to start preparing for college and encouraging students to dream about what they’d like to be when they grow up. The sooner they begin thinking about their future, the better prepared they’ll be, and the better they’ll perform in school. No matter the age or time frame, make college part of daily conversations.

You can start talking to younger students about college with the book Monte and the World of Possibilities. Help them discover the possibilities with the eBook and the following links:

With the Utah Scholars program, you can engage students as early as 8th grade and get them preparing for college. With monthly reminders, rewards, and course recommendations, all you need to do is get students enrolled to help them stay on track!

PLUS, successful completion of the Utah Scholars curriculum sets students up for potential scholarships, such as the Regents’ Scholarship.
