Terrel H. Bell Teaching Incentive: High School Loan Program

  • Deadline: 3/2016
  • Amount: Waiver (of tuition and fees at the Utah public institutions
  • Education with preference given to majors in a critical shortage area.
  • Recipients are required to complete an educator preparation program and teach in Utah public schools for a term equal to the number of years for which the loan was received.
  • Open to all Utah resident high school seniors or any junior who will have completed the requirements for an Early Graduation Program, including ACT, during the current fiscal year.
  • Selection based on high school grade point average, ACT or SAT scores, ethnicity, intended teaching field, teaching-related experience, and an explanatory essay.

  • Open to all high school seniors at an accredited Utah school who have successfully completed or are currently enrolled in the financial literacy course required for graduation, and plan to pursue a post-secondary education.
